Top 10 Upcoming Cars in India 2023

Here’s what’s in store for 2023 as a follow-up to our 2022 SUVs worth waiting for: solely all-new and next-generation revised models. For buyers wanting to purchase now or in the near future, the new 2023 SUVs and crossovers might have been worth the wait given that COVID lockdowns and supply chain concerns delayed things over the last couple of years

2023 Ford Escape ST-Line Elite

The ST-Line Elite was just debuted, joining the ST-Line and ST-Line-Select models at the top of the Escape model lineup. The ST-Line series’ vehicles all have a sporty appearance thanks to their large single-wing rear spoiler, distinctive rear skid plate, and black mesh grille. The range-topper, however, is distinguished by an optional, eye-catching “coast-to-coast” LED light bar that spans from one headlamp to the other.

The 1.5L EcoBoost engine in the 2023 Ford Escape ST-Line produces 180 horsepower. The front wheels receive power, and AWD is an optional feature.

2023 Honda CR-V

For 25 years, it has been the best-selling SUV in the US, and now it has undergone a new, sixth-generation redesign. A more sophisticated and potent two-motor hybrid-electric powertrain is added to Honda’s tiny crossover in addition to the comprehensive redesign for the 2023 CR-V.

Compared to the previous models, the CR-V Sport and Sport Touring trims with the hybrid arrangement look more daring. The 2023 facelift gives the CR-V EX and EX-L more upscale styling cues, including larger 18-inch, 10-spoke wheels, body-colored side mirrors, and a gloss black grille mesh with chrome trim up front.

The redesigned CR-V is described by Honda as having a more “rugged and refined design” overall. Yes, it appears more brash than the previous model, but we’re not sure how robust it really is. However, this little sport is useful.

2023 Honda HR-V

A larger 2.0L 4-cylinder with 158 horsepower (SAE net @ 6,500 rpm) and 138 lb.-ft. of torque (SAE net @ 4,200 rpm) has replaced the 1.8L 4-cylinder. The new mill offers 11 lb.-ft. of torque and 17 more horses in addition to a more tuned engine.

An already compact SUV will always score points with customers by adding more storage. All 2023 HR-V trims now have a larger cargo area behind the back seat, measuring 24.4 cu. ft., while the lift-over height has increased to just over 27 inches to accommodate larger things.

The front, narrower honeycomb-style grille with air curtain inlets is undoubtedly the most noticeable design modification. Although the 2023 design is lower and more slim, the previous grill wasn’t terrible.

2023 Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid

Toyota unveiled the first-ever 2022 Corolla Cross subcompact crossover, which we reviewed here late last year, to bridge the gap between the diminutive C-HR and the continuously growing RAV4. With the Corolla Cross Hybrid, Toyota is now adding a hybrid model to the lineup for 2023.

For the American market, the Corolla Cross Hybrid will be offered in five grades. Three additional trims, S, SE, and XSE, will be added to join LE and XLE. Only SE and XSE will be sent to Canada. The entire range comes standard with all-wheel drive.

The hybrid subcompact crossover, like its gasoline-powered brother, is constructed on the TNGA-C platform and is propelled by a 2.0-litre four-cylinder engine coupled with electric motors and a battery pack that functions with a continuously variable transmission.
